• Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing new features and functionality into WordPress themes and plugins.
  • Convert design assets (Sketch, Photoshop, Invision, Xd) into component-based HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Designing and developing WordPress themes from scratch, as well as modify and customize existing themes.
  • Create extendible WordPress plugins, as well as modifying and customize existing plugins.
  • Conducting website performance tests.
  • Troubleshooting content issues.
  • Establishing and guiding the website’s architecture
  • Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
  • Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
  • Work with modern tools including Jira, Slack, GitHub, Google Docs, etc.

• Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional experience working as a WordPress/PHP developer.
  • Knowledge of {{object-oriented}} programming and implementing it into PHP/WordPress code.
  • Strong understanding of PHP back-end development and implementing new theme-based features, plugin-based features, working with custom content types.
  • Solid understanding of WordPress and PHP Development best practices
  • Skilled in front-end development with a focus on cross-browser support
  • Firm grasp of the front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
  • Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML responsive pages
  • Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
  • Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
  • Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {{such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial}}
  • Comfortable working with debugging tools such as Chrome developer tool etc.
  • Ability to write well-documented and clean code.
  • Experience with the Laravel framework is plus.
  • Experience with E-commerce is a plus.
  • English Skills (ability to effectively communicate via written and spoken English).
